Enton Green is the brainchild of Ceri Thomas. Pictured below with his eldest son William, at one of their favourite local spots; Hogmoor Inclosure in Hampshire.
Ceri is a Design Engineer by training and has spent most of his career helping to develop innovative high-performance vehicles such as Rivian's electric R1S & R1T, JLR's C-X75 and McLaren Speedtail to name a small selection.
But his heart has always been in hifi, where he's been designing and building speakers since he started university.
In between automotive work Ceri previously set-up and ran the award winning CODE Acoustics brand, of which you can see their SA1 model below.
After wrapping up work with Rivian, Ceri decided to focus once again on hifi, incorporating some of the many lessons he'd learnt from his time in automotive.
Particularly how luxury (mostly British) firms are increasingly opening up their models to bespoke design from their customers. Think Rolls Royce, Bentley, McLaren and Aston Martin.
One great example is the Jay Z / Beyonce Rolls Royce Boat Tail.
Rolls Royce use dedicated bespoke sales rooms in order to show the full range of customisation open to their customers.
While this innovative approach is happening in auto, mainstream hifi is comparatively in the dark ages, still offering rectangular MDF boxes with a handful of veneer options.
BUT, there is hope! The vinyl resurgence has FINALLY expanded to hifi and suddenly vintage audio design is having a moment, led by pioneers such as Devon Turnbull.
Ceri sensed a fascinating opportunity to create a juxtaposition between the beautiful form but rather limited aesthetic of vintage audio (often grey and black) with a vibrant aesthetic bespoking service.
Enton Green's first model, adopting this philosophy is the 'A3', which is an almost perfect half scale replica of Altec Lansings 1983 A6 cinema speaker. Part of their iconic 'Voice of the Theatre' range.
We do offer this in the traditional colour scheme of grey and black, but you can also personalise the aesthetic to your individual taste.
